Apr 04, 2013RDS Gateway Persistence?
Going through the RDS Deployment Guide and I'm a little confused about how to setup persistence for my Remote Desktop Gateway servers.
The guide gives you an iRule to create, but nothing about creating a persistence profile. However, when you get down to the Virtual Server it tells you to "Select the Persistence profile you created".
Does the iRule handle this by itself, or do I need to create a persistence profile as well?

- mikeshimkus_111Historic F5 AccountHi James, since the iRule uses universal and source IP persistence, you don't need a corresponding persistence profile added to the virtual server. We'll get that corrected in the guide; thanks for pointing it out.

Great! Thanks for the quick response.
- Joe_JordanRet. EmployeeHi James, we've just released version 2.4 of the RDS deployment guide which includes the removal of that extraneous row asking for the persistence profile (http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/f5-microsoft-remote-desktop-services-dg.pdf). Thanks for bringing that to our attention.
