is there an irule for logging when a user opens an RDP session and when the user closes the RDP session via a portal page in the F5.

Could you clarify your question a bit? I assume that you're referring to logging into a server via RDP. However, generally that wouldn't go through an LTM. Are you referring to a VPN scenario, an end-user connecting to a computer (or VM), or an admin logging into a server?
