Radius Load Balancing

Hi All,

 

 

I'm just wondering if there are any caveats to load balancing our radius servers through the F5 Big IP LTM (version 10.0.1). I've basically used the generic radius template on the F5 to accomplish this in a test environment and it seems to be working ok.

 

 

I've read little on what I can find about radius load balancing with the F5 and this article seems to mention that you need to enable "Datagram LB" to get proper radius load balancing happening - which is already enabled by the generic radius template on the F5.

Also is there any sort of persistence that I might need to set???

    Just an update on this. I used the generic radius template that comes with the version we're using (BIG-IP LTM 6900 10.0.1) to load balance our radius servers and it's working quite well. We've got it running in production and I can't fault it at the moment.
