Question on UDP virtual serer

Hi guys,

Have a virtual server with a ANY port definition and UDP client profile. It has attached a pool of servers with ANY port . The monitor attached has a udp healthcheck towards an alias port. I have 2 questions :

  1. On virtual server -statistics - I see Bits (In) increasing but not Bits - Out . Is that normal for UDP traffic .
  2. Although the load balancing method is RR and all the pool members are UP I see traffic being sent only to 2 pool members always. There is no persistence profile attached.

Any answer or suggestion is appreciated.

Cheers !

    1. Yes if the protocol doesn't reply... Or the UDP servers aren't replying back o the clients via the BigIP (i.e. n-path).

    2. IF you have no persistence then I would expect the traffic to be literally round robin'ed across all the pool members. I would suspect a config issue somewhere. e.g. Priority group activation or something?
