question about LTM and virtual servers..

how do i configure a virtual server to be down when the pool is not available?   right now i have a virtual server that is "offline (enabled) the children pool members are down." but the Big IP is...

thanks! it's not http/https traffic, it's ldap queries between two servers. so, there is no way to have the virtual truly down when the pool members are down?
