Query on HA implementation (Particularly HA group method)
Hi,
HA group priorities configuration are local and not shared between traffic group members.
only current priority is known by all traffic group members.
if you want to fallback to a preferred member, configure more priority to this one:
example:
member 1 HA group : - trunk 1 (2 interfaces) : priority 40 - trunk 2 (2 interfaces) : priority 40 - pool GW (2 members) : priority 20
member 2 HA group : - trunk 1 (2 interfaces) : priority 40 - trunk 2 (2 interfaces) : priority 40 - pool GW (2 members) : priority 10
when working with HA groups, you can't use "force to standby". it is not working.
But you can force offline the whole device in
Device Management ›› Devices. when you edit the device, there is the button Force Offline. I always use it when I insert a new device in Sync-failover to prevent the new device to be active before first config sync.Help guide the future of your DevCentral Community!
