Oct 19, 2017Pool with 2 Active and 2 standby Members - with no auto failback once Active members become Healthy
Hello, I need make the Pool with 4 servers ABCD. 1. A & B should be active all time and CD should be pure standby on that pool. 2. C & D should take traffic only when any one among A or B health check fails. 3. A & B are health checking Web 1 and C & D are Health checking with Web 2 3. post recovery of either A or B which failed earlier, A & B should not take over traffic until manual intervention. 4. Pool is configured with Persistence profile with Match across Service is enabled.

In your pool configuration do the following:
1. set priority group activation to less than 2.
2. set members A and B to have a priority group of 50 for example.
3. set members C and D to have a priority group of 25 for example.
4. Set manual resume to on.
This will give you what you need. Priority grouping is what gives you your active/standby config. The higher priority group number will be the "ACTIVE" members. And if you say less than 2, then as soon as one goes offline, both will failover.
HTH.
