AltostratusPool Member made Down but Virtual Server Reachable
Hello Friends,
Gone through a strange behaviour today. We were testing GTM traffic shifting. pool members were kept down for testing at primary data center but respective Virtual Server IP remained UP and did'nt make traffic shift to secondary data center as Virtual server IP at Primary Data Center was still live and response. Usually as per experience during previous testing (other applications) Virtual Server IP automatically goes down after making respective pool member down.
We tried to investigate the reason, But seems all fine. Please suggest possible root cause.

Not positive this is relevant, but it sounds like it may be.
I recently wrote a blog post called Broken iRules Maintenance Page talking about the logic change in v13 of BIG-IP.
On older versions, if all pool members are disabled, the VIP would still process traffic. On newer versions the VIP stops doing anything.

So are you saying that when all pool members are down, the VIP is still green in the GUI, or is it red and just accepting monitor traffic from GTM?
