Pool member in Unlicensed status
Hi everybody,
I am building a virtual lab for DNS module. I configured a simple wideip resolution using one datacenter, 2 links one ltm with two virtual server, one virtual server per link. I create a wideip pool with this two VS and round robin balancing method. I create a wideip with this pool, but when I try to see the members status, one of them show unlicensed status with reason Not authorized.
I am using 12.1 TMOS version. I try this solution: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/15000/800/sol15834.html but I am not setting any linkcost balancing.
Someone know why I get that status?

Install the linkcost.im patch from the downloads site.
I had the same issue no link cost load balancing enabled but this error showed up. After installing the patch good to go.

Can someone confirm if the issue is resolved after adding the link patch.

In my case it solved the issue, same issue at several clients where I implemented GTM / DNS no Cost load balancing used only GA, Round Robin and return to DNS, very basic setup just like you are using. Also contacted F5 support once and they recommended this patch also. When you apply the patch straight away you will see the secondary pool member going green :-)

But the unlicensed pool member issue comes even if we use GA or topology load balancing and no dynamic ratio enabled on the pool, so will this solution work.

can you provide list gtm pool and show gtm pool output?
