ping self ip address of floating ip address from different vlan

Hello

 

 

i have 4 vlan on f5

 

1 vlan for client and other 3 vlans for server

 

 

i want ping self ip address or floating address from server side to each vlans

 

 

i heard its design behavior and it does not work how can i do this?

    I don't think you can ping one self IP from another VLAN for security reasons (Click here). You could try pinging a VIP though. Assuming the routing is in place and the VIP is enabled on the source VLAN, the VIP address should answer.
