Performance hit when enabling HTTP/2 on VPS
Hi,
I was wondering if there is research on enabling HTTP/2 on VPS regarding CPU performance?
Basically, if you want the fastest processing and minimal CPU impact on F5 then the one should disable HTTP/2? I have one VPS which should be hit with over 50K TPS SSL, so I was wandering what would be best practice in regard tweaking it.
TIA!
so you want to enable HTTP/2 and wonder if you can make modifications on the profile to make the performance hit lower?
every form of processing will add load, there might be some figure what a HTTP/2 profile will do, but that is probably something your F5 local contacts can provide.
good chance the answer will be it is impossible to predict reliably.
if you have a test environment and some performance testing equipment you might be able to test something. or again ask your f5 contact if they can work that out?
