outage - is it possible
Hi all,
We have an known error on an old HA pair. Searching f5 support I found this work around:
https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/12000/600/sol12631
My doubt is: will this workaroun, even for brief moments, cause outage on live traffic ?
Thank you in advance. Regards, Fausto

Hi,
You must be careful with this, because if you do this workaround and change the Redundancy State Preference of the Active member to Standby and the Redundancy State Preference of the Standby member to Active, a failover may take place and you will have an brief outage until all the traffic can switch to the other BIG-IP system (Enabling Mirroring may help to not loose long live active connections).

Hi Pedro,
I also share the same opinion. As long as the active memeber remain active we should not experience traffic interruption.
Thank you!

Hi again,
During that procedure both nodes will be in not active nor standby. Both nodes will be in None state.
In this state what happens to the live traffic?
Thanks once more. Regards, Fausto
