Oracle Java doesn't work behind LTM
Not really, we have many Oracle-F5 solutions that include Java, usually in the form of OC4J containers or Java Servlets. You will find details in the deployment guides on
www.f5.com/oracle
We do see issues arise when developers using poor coding practices, like:
Hard coded Hostnames, IP addresses, and URLs in their serverside or clientside Java applications. Usually this is pretty easy to determine with a clientside HTTP trace, using a tool like HTTPwatch, Firebug, Fiddler, or other browser plug-in. For more detail at the TCP level, Wireshark is quite popular.
If you would like to post the specific configuration of your app and network with details about what is not working, I'm sure we can figure it out.
Thanx - Chris.
