Oracle DB and F5 LTM

Hi

 

 

I have project to load balance Oracle database on F5, per documnets F5 refers to Primmary nodes and standby, however my understaning is Oracle rack have multiple IP addresses , such as physical IP, VIP and Scan names, do you know which ones are F5 refering to? what is the best practice? also irule refers to "orcl1"orcl2, are these physical host or Virtual IP's.

    Hi KJ,

     

     

    Look at your configuration for orcl1 & orcl2, they might be nodes (Local Traffic >> Nodes >> node list) , there you may get their IP addresses.

     

    Else download the configuration file and search for all occurrences of orcl1 & orcl2.
