Hello all,
I recently ran into an issue with OneConnect that is really got me stumped??? In a single node pool on a http VIP, when I enabled the default Oneconnect profile client traffic was getting a message that they needed to sign back into the application, we turned Oneconnect off and problem goes away. There was some thoughts that f5 was keeping a pool connection open and the web server was closing the connections due to a idle time out limit on the web server?
My current theory is that the web server maximum keep alive connections were below the default settings in the "max reuse" in the oneconnect profile setting. However my research has turned up some odd issues with this setting. The web servers are Windows machines using IIS 6.0 and I had a hell of a time finding this setting which SOL7208 listed as "The Maximum Reuse setting represents the maximum number of requests to be sent over a server-side connection. This number should be slightly lower than the maximum number of HTTP Keep-Alive requests accepted by backend servers in order to prevent the backend server from initiating connection close and entering the TIME_WAIT state." Does anyone know if I am barking up the wrong tree here? Does anyone know where to find this setting in Windows IIS? Also does anyone have any thoughts on why out of the box f5 sets the max reuse to "1000", this seems high to me?

Hi Brian,
I had also some issues like you have with OneConnect enabled, I also have IIS servers, in my case, only Safari users were disconnected. I had to disable OneConnect at all, I played a little with the OneConnect profile to solve this issue without any luck, in the end i just disabled the oneconnect profile and the problem went away. I didn't report it to Support.
May be this issue is related to this: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/8000/700/sol8707.html.
Hope this helps. - Jose_Santiago_O

Actually I believe that your reference is exactly what is happening.... I've ask tech support for help because at this point it doesn't appear that f5 is addressing the issue? I'll keep you posted if I find anything new, thanks again for your input
