NTP Server Health Monitor

I would like to load balance my internal NTP servers in BIGIP. How to monitor NTP service in F5?     In addition, I found that there is an udp monitor in BIGIP, how does udp monitor works?

So if you wanted to monitor, you could edit the DNS script as Denny suggested, using ntpq or ntpdc and cut out the stratum value to get a positive check for stratum=X, or a negative check for stratum!=16.
