npath configuration
Hello,
our new services need to have source ip directly visible. After some searching, following f5 link was read ; https://techdocs.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/ltm-implementations-12-1-0/4.html. Basing on this & setting up , the service does not seem working.
This is a http application, with virtual service on f5. the actual servers gateway is not the f5. Server has been setup with loopback reflecting virtual service ip address. addresses are as below, the virtual ip range has reachability to all other segments.
Server - 10.58.0.85 /23
F5 self ip - 10.58.0.65 /23
F5 virtual - 10.75.0.85 /24
gateway for server & f5 - 10.58.1.101
Please help with inputs. Packets on f5 seem to be going out, on the server packets are seen coming to the loopback.
Will the last portion as given in document, setting route for inbound , be needed here.

suthomas1,
Given the configuration you noted it seems you meet the requirement in the note within the implementation manual you noted regarding the inbound route,
Note: You need to set this route only if the virtual server is on a different subnet than the router.
The route you need is 10.75.0.85 with an external self IP in the 10.58.1.0 network (external self-ip) as the gateway.
Best,
Andrew
