Not able to clear connections on virtual server
Hi,
I've configured a virtual server with snat pool and mapped a pool.
No irules are mapped. Set the connection limit to 1 and disabled cmp to have a single connection to the back end pool member.
But still I could see multiple connections being established.
I tried to clear all the connections but I could still see the same old existing connection count.
I've ever deleted the configuration and reconfigured everything which is showing the same old connection count.
No connection limit was set in the pool level.
Note: Have the same configuration in two devices which are in active/standby setup.
Please post your inputs and thanks in advance.

Please note that the virtual server is Performance (layer 4) type and no idle timeout was configured.

Might this be the issue?

Hi Scott,
Only one TCP connection is allowed. The virtual server should drop the upcoming TCP connections once a TCP connection is established.

Please check the Connection Table on the BIG-IP using the following tmsh command: tmsh show sys connection If the originating IP address is the non-floating self IP, then these are connections established by Monitors.

Hi Scott/Zahid,
I tried to kill all the existing connections on cli mode and established a single connection. It worked!!
Thank you.
