Newly created user account unable to login

newly created accounts were unable to login upon creation

 

also, check that the newly created account has an expired status

 

chage -l "user account" Last password change : Jun 23, 2017 Password expires : Sep 21, 2017 Password inactive : never Account expires : Mar 15, 2017 Minimum number of days between password change : 0 Maximum number of days between password change : 90 Number of days of warning before password expires : 7

 

if the "account expires" date was changed the user account can successfully login

 

Every newly user account when created, it has the same "account expires : Mar 15, 2017" date value.
