MySQL 5.5 Proxy iRule/iApp

I've been eagerly anticipating an update to the MySQL proxy iRule detailed here:

However we're currently running a Galera DB cluster using MySQL 5.5, which this iRule hasn't been updated for. Has anyone had any success updating the iRule to work with MySQL 5.5?

    Hi,

     

    I am currently testing Mysql-proxy over Percoan XtraDB cluster, MySQL 5.5 + Galera 2.x. It fails with an error on BigIP 11.4 : BIG-IP MySQL Proxy -- mysql client: attempting to do something before authentication

     

    Do you have same behaviours with this irule ? Did you succeed to fix it ?

      I am getting the same error trying to use it with MySQL 5.6.17. My monitor is working fine . I made sure IPTABLES if off on the MySQL server for now so that should not be the problem. I think the protocol in MySQL has been changed since the MySQL-Proxy was released. Any help here would greatly be appreciated.
