I have 2 servers (Boxes) both installed with IBM websphere.
I am running 4 different applications on each server.

Sep 30, 2008Are you connecting directly to the applications over their Websphere ports (i.e. http://server1:9080/appA) or you will have some kind of webserver in front of them (i.e. IHS)?
If using WebSphere ports just create different VIPS for each app. You could even use the same IP address for all of the VIPs and differentiate by port. Then create separate pools, again, 1 for each app. Assuming you care about persistence, you'd need to create and associate a persistence profile for each VIP.
If you are putting a webserver in front of them, then you'd need to only create 1 VIP and 1 pool. Assuming you care about persistence, you'd need to create and associate a persistence profile to the VIP.
