MSSQL Configuration and HA Failover
Issue:
We have a Virtual Server configuration to send traffic back to a pool member which happens to be a MSSQL Database server. We are passing traffic over the usual 1433 port, using SNAT AutoMap, and a TCP profile. We have two F5 units in an Active/Stanby configuration running version 12 build 3.0.654. When we have a failover, the TCP connection gets cut causing a process to fail. However, I never hear any issues for HTTP connections when a failover event happens.
Question:
Can anyone explain the difference and if there are any changes that need to be made? The TCP profile is a custom TCP profile but no default values have been changed.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

HTTP is connectionless, so not the same as TCP that is connection-oriented protocol. Also, HTTP runs on top of TCP.
Enable connection mirroring in the virtual server, that may fix the issue.
