Moving F5 from switch A to switch B
We have LTM 1600 pair (HA) and they are connected to switch
A
now we recently add new switch B
and i want to move my F5 from switch A
to switch B
so i have two option and please let me know if anything wrong there. (Notes: we are not physically moving F5 just replacing switch)
-
Shutdown
F5 and move it to switchstandby
and once it up failover and make itB
and then move remaining one.Active
-
Do not Shutdown
and just unplug cable and move it to switchstandby
and failover to switch B and move remaining F5B
bump!

Hi,
Of course changing switch doesn't require a reboot of F5.
- Unplug standby unit from sw A and plug it to sw B
- Check if all pool members are available on th the standby unit
- Force à failover from active to standby
- Unplug new standby unit from sw A and plug it to sw B
- Check if all pool members are available on th the new standby unit
