Monitoring rules licensing problems during update from 13.0.1 to 13.1
Hi,
we wanted to upgrade f5 to the latest version. After booting to the new version f5 blocks all traffic. After logging in to the console and opening tmsh the following error comes up:
It states that two monitoring rules are not licensed but: - We have about 20 monitoring rules which seems to work fine. - There is no visible difference between these two monitoring rules and the others.
Anyone already had this problem? Under what license are monitoring rules licensed? We have ltm, apm and afm licensed. Is there any restriction?`
Thank you

Wompi,
Did you re-activate the license prior to the upgrade? It is best practice to do so, see License activation may be required prior to a software upgrade for the BIG-IP or Enterprise Manager system
If you haven't then you would probably need to boot into the original volume, perform the license activation and then reboot into the upgrade volume. I suspect, however, that you may need to reinstall into a new volume, although i would hope that you don't.
Hope this helps,
N
