Dec 11, 2009Monitor Node
Hi.
I have in my /etc/alertd/alert.conf:
alert BIGIP_MCPD_MCPDERR_POOL_MEMBER_MON_STATUS {
snmptrap OID=".1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.76";
email toaddress="xxx@xxx"
fromaddress="xxx@xxx"
body="Pool Member Status!"
}
alert BIGIP_MCPD_MCPDERR_NODE_ADDRESS_MON_STATUS {
snmptrap OID=".1.3.6.1.4.1.3375.2.4.0.78";
email toaddress="xxx@xxx"
fromaddress="xxx@xxx"
body="Node Address Monitor !"
}
If a node is down, I revice mail about Pool Memeber, and the log file I can see it, but I don´t see the alert about the node.
How can I do so that F5 notifies to me the changes about of node?
Because I have the same node in all pools, and I recive 3 mails.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I think you'd need to have a node monitor configured (in addition or in replacement of a pool monitor).

Thanks.
But I have configured a monitor, and it does not work.
In log file I see this:
Dec 15 16:58:24 acf52 mcpd[1107]: 01070641:3: Node XXX.XXX.XX.XXX session status enabled.
Dec 15 16:58:25 acf52 mcpd[1107]: 01070640:3: Node XXX.XXX.XX.XXX monitor status up.
But when the node is down, the alert does not work.
Could you please help me?
Thanks.
