Monitor is down - but connections still pass to server
Hi,
I have virtual server with 2 nodes. the monitor of one of the node is down, I kill the open session with "tmsh delete /sys connection ss-server-addr 1.1.1.10 ss-server-port 80", all the connections were gone and after 1 seconde they back again.
But when I set the node in the pool to disable, only then I did not see any connections passing to node. If I set the node in the pool to enable - the connections are passing to this node again.
can anyone explain me why ?
thank you.
Please check pool stats for the virtual and secondly tcpdump to check status,

Can you please check the node default monitor settings. as per above you have applied node default monitor it means node will use default monitor settings for pooling.
Try to use below command tmsh list ltm default-node-monitor

Hi, the default monitor is PING.
Is it matter what is the monitor on the pool, alouth the although monitor on this node is down ?

Yes, Whatever monitor you set in pool it will inherit node monitor But as you said default monitor is ping. If you are not able to ping server then pool also be down. Could you please check the settings once again and send some screenshot or config.
