Monitor based on Server Performance

Has anyone got suggestions on how I can create a monitor based on Server Performance.   For Windows Servers there is the WMI monitor. My requirement is for a similar monitor for a Linux based syst...

Do you really want a server to be set down by a monitor closing connections to it?

load balancing method. It is the recommended lb method based on both least connection and fastest methods.
