Monitor an Internet link using a Web Site
I have 3 Internet links and I need to monitor this links. I want to check if I reach Web sites throughout these 3 links. I want to check for example, www.cisco.com through link 1, www.microsoft.com through link 2 and www.google.com through link 3. If I don't reach one of those web sites then Iknow that I have to redirect traffic from one failed link to another link that is ok.
how can I do this?
thank you.

Hi Renee,
There are a couple of ways you can do this. One of the simpliest ways to create dummy pools where they are associated to custom HTTP monitors each pointing to a website. Here is a example of a custom monitor https://devcentral.f5.com/wiki/advdesignconfig.HTTPMonitor_cURL_BasicGET.ashx.
Then write up an iRule that checked each pool member health and based forwarding on the UP status.
I hope that helps
