modifying profiles that must exist in /Common via an iApp

Hey I have written an iApp for DNS security that works fine, except....... 1) I can't modify profiles that exist in /Common ie Device DoS Config 2) For some reason it tells me that rate shaping profiles need to be in /Common 3) The security logging profile only allows publishers in /Common to be attached

In all 3 cases my iApp is either building or looking in /Common/${app}

Any hints?

    Hi, for 1, are you trying to modify profiles that you created in /Common, or the built-in profiles that already exist there? If you are trying to modify the built-in profiles, it won't work. Those are read-only.

    For 2, I've never worked with those profiles but it wouldn't surprise me as we've seen that before. May need to open a support case on that.

    For 3, what is the command that you are using to attach the profile? I know that with the Network Firewall profiles, the non-Common publishers don't show up in the GUI as available, but it will work if you use tmsh to attach them.

    thanks
