Mobile Device Browsers with Bypass?

I was wondering if anyone has set up an iRule where you can bypass the mobile site and go to the full site? I've used the iRule created in this forum and it works flawlessly, however the customer now wants to put a link at the bottom of the mobi page labelled "View Full Site" and wants it to go to their full site.

I'm not sure how to handle this since the iRule detects the User-Agent and then redirects back to the mobi site.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you!

You could probably do this with a cookie - maybe set something like "Mobile-Overide=true" and use that to trump the UA-alone redirection. Is the FQDN of the mobile site the same as the main site? Many places seem to be adopting a "m.foo.com" for the mobile version of "www.foo.com".
  • Thanks for the reply. The FQDN is NOT the same for the full site as the mobile site. The mobile site is www.foo.mobi and the full site is www.foo.com. I will look into the cookie solution.
