Missing Macro button
Hi,
I'm working on creating Access policy that will give access to users to a webport after doing an LocalDB and AD authentication.
I saw in one of the manual chapter that it can be done with a macro, but when I compare my Access Policy editor and the one in the chapter, I don't have the "Add Macro" button.
Is it possible that I'm missing a hotfix or an option wasn't enabled on my side?
Thanks, Jonathan

First you have to create the Macro before you can Add the macro in the VPE. Under your current flow you should see a "Add New Macro" button. Click that and create the Macro first. You will then see a new tab in the VPE add action modal that will allow you to select the macro.

Hi Seth,
thanks for the fast answer. Maybe I wasn't clear enough, the "Add New Macro" is missing. The only thing I have is my access policy and under it some help information.

What version of BigIP are you running? What is the profile type for the Access Policy? (to find this look at the Access Profile list and there is a column for profile type). Seth
BIG-IP v11.4.1 (Build 637.0)
Seem that the type exist only in v11.5. Maybe I should check to update our device.

You should still see the Macro button in 11.4.1. If you create a new policy do you see the Add New Macro button?
Hi Seth,
I updated to 11.5. I just spotted the type, my policy is set to type: all. I created a new policy with Type: all and another one with Type: LTM-APM to test and in both case, no "Add New Macro" button.

I would go ahead at this point and open a case with support to figure out what is going on. This way we can look at the qkview and get more detailed information than what we can get on the forum.
Perfect thanks for the help!
Hi Seth,
I just updated to 11.6 and the add New Macro option appeared.
Thanks again, Jonathan
