Nov 03, 2016Migration from 4000s to 2000s
Hi All,
We are planning to replace 4000s with 2000s. During migration can I just create ucs from 4000s and upload to 2000s? Will this work?
Thanks.

Nov 03, 2016No. For migrating between platforms I would recommend setting up the new system with base configuration(Activating License, Hostname, etc) then adding it to the device cluster and device groups as necessary to sync the remainder of the configuration. This is the most reliable way to migrate configuration.

Nov 03, 2016Hi Jhaas, thanks for your answer. so once I configure 2000s with base config i.e. self IP, vlan and floating IP so what should be best approach here? Do I need to copy bigip.conf, cert and key from 4000s to 2000s and reload?
Thanks.
