Migrating from B2150 to B2250 blade with different OS

Before I attempt this change, I'd like to know if I can run the upgrade script on the 225 blade, despite it having a different OS version. 2150 blade has 11.6.2 HF1 and the 2250 blade has 13.1

You can import 11.6.2 HF1 UCS file on different blade with new version but some times you will face issues like .. unable to import ucs file becuase of encryption passwords (Tacacs, Radius etcc.). You need to nullify the passwords before importing them to new version.

 

Go to bigip.conf file and just replace encryption passwords wth null value. Once UCS is imported you can reconfigure the passwords.

    I think your answer missed my question. I'm attempting to add a 2250 blade to a a viprion, then migrating the configs from the 2150 blade to the 2250 blade. The 2250 blade for some reason, will not come up. I cannot access it from the GUI to get it licensed, etc. The 2150 is running 11.6.2 HF1 and the 2250 can run either 12 or 13.
