Migrate part of GTM to another GTM

Hi, currently our GTM's have both test and prod config. We have buildup new test GTM's and want to migrate the test config (LTM's, Virtual servers, Pools, Wide IP etc) to the new pair. What is the suggested approach for this ? Is there any script that we could use ?

  • RahulG you should be able to migrate the pieces of configuration using the list commands for each piece of configuration and then put that in one flat file. Once you have the entire configuration you can do a "load sys config from-terminal merge" and paste in the configuration followed by key sequence it shows and the beginning to save what you just pated in. From here this piece of the migration is dependent on if you are performing sub-domain delegation or if the GTMs are authoritative for the entire zone. If it's sub-domain delegation you should only have to wait the time of the TTL for the sub-domain delegation SOA record but if the other GTM manages the entire zone and you want to move that from one to the other you will update your registrar to point to the new authoritative GTM and then wait a maximum of 48 hours before removing the zone from the prod GTM. The reason for the 48 hour waiting time is because that is the hard set time for authoritative records which cannot be reduced because the auth servers only clear those under extreme curcumstances and a zone transfer is not an extreme circumstance.
