Migrate Exchange 2010 to F5 from ISA 2007 server
We have the following Exchange 2010 environment, greatly simplified:
3x Exchange Database servers, running all services except CAS
3x CAS servers connected via a Microsoft NLB
External OWA access provided via a very old ISA 2004 server.
I would like to replace the ISA 2004 server and move the external OWA site onto our F5. Has anyone else had success with such an endeavor?

Thank you for the information, these docs are for SharePoint, my question is regarding Exchange 2010. I did find related links that are geared toward Exchange. I have read through some of them, but they appear to be geared at using LTM for to load balance both the CAS internally and externally. I am happy with the MS NLB function ATM, and I would like to keep it while only using LTM at the web gateway. Any thoughts?

Hi Alan, do you have the APM module licensed? You could publish external access to OWA using APM portal access. In this scenario, no client traffic is ever passed to the CAS servers; the APM rewrites all responses from the server to point to the portal resource: https://support.f5.com/content/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_apm/manuals/product/apm-portal-access-11-1-0/_jcr_content/pdfAttach/download/file.res/apm-portal-access-11-1-0.pdf
