Nimbostratusmax throughput treshold
I am looking for a solution that will let to make a load balancing decision based on the current throughput of VS.
What I need is to set on the virtual server max throughput threshold and after this threshold is reached to redirect new requests to another pool, or VS.
Very similar solution is described in the "HTTP Request Throttle" article on the evcentral, but there is request per second used as a threshold, and I need bits (or bytes) per secind threshold.
Any idea?
AFAIK with iControl information about current VS throughput can be known, but I don't know how it can be used in iRules.

I don't think you can get any metrics from an iRule for throughput or load. I think your thought on using iControl to get this would be a good methodology. You could write an iControl app which dynamically changes the pool membership or adds a redirect rule to the VIP based on load.
If you get something working, I'm sure others here would be interested.

Where did you find "HTTP Request Throttle"? That sounds like what I need to do, redirect based on requests/sec., but I can't find it. Do you still have the URL?
