Maintaining 443 HTTPS after SSL Offloading on the load balancer
I was wondering how I can go about maintaining HTTPS from the load balancer to a server after SSL offloading has been done on the load balancer?
We want to use SSL offloading on the load balancer, which works fine. However, after it's been offloaded, the traffic from the load balancer to the server becomes HTTP. The application on the server wants to work only if it receives HTTPS traffic. How can we do that while still keeping SSL offloading happening on the load balancer, and not at the server??
- What_Lies_Bene1CirrostratusYou should create an SSLServer Profile which will be used to communicate with the Pool members using SSL. See this article for more: http://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/11000/200/sol11220.html?sr=23998198
Hi Experts
Do we need to set up SSL based certificate as a mandatory requirement? Or for normal HTTPS websites, any in built certificate will do?
- nitassEmployeedefault serverssl profile should work.
