You're correct on the zero placements. This article may provide some clarity relating to determining what MAC addresses you may see at the switch level, as layer 2 and 3 traffic will likely have different MAC addresses:

sorry for delay in response...chasing other squirrels...and yes, the 03 mac is associated with vlan 330...I just don't see the mac out right in the cli (show sys mac-address). it is in the gui, and if I grep the mac, I do in fact get a return.
