MAC address get change after reboot or power cycle VE F5
I encounter an issue that MAC address got changed after reboot or power cycle VE F5. The version is 11.4.0 build2384 final. It is running on Exsi 5.5.0 For example, Before reboot, interface 1.1 is MAC 1, interface 1.2 is MAC 2, interface 1.3 is MAC 3,
After reboot or power cycle, it becomes to be interface 1.1 is MAC 3, interface 1.2 is MAC 1, interface 1.3 is MAC 2, Because this issue, I cannot reboot my VE F5.

Hi,
I think there is some article about it, can find it now. Anyway, it happened to me but only when I was adding new vNIC to my VM, sometimes mapping between vNIC and port stayed intact, but most often changed. Never had issue with already configured VM with not changing number of vNIC.

I think that i got it resolve according to the sol12149. https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/12000/100/sol12149.html.
After I set the interface type to be VMXNET 3, it works fine to me so far. i have tried it more than 10 times by power cycle from F5 console or vcenter without any issue.

Yes, that is the one, but still for me vNIC to port connections was anly changing (not always) when adding/removing vNIC. When there is no change I never experienced any issues when rebooting or shutting down VM. One think in the SOL that was not true for my VM is that management interface has to use Flexible adapter type (at least for 1.6.0 VE it is not the case). All my vNIC are VMXNET 3. I had issues with 1.2.0 where management has to be E1000 Piotr - John_Chen_43562

I think that I have the same issue by using Flexible. All my vNIC are VMXNET3 as well.As for Adding/Removing vNIC, I will try it to see whether I have the same issue as yours.
