Lync deployment with pre-auth (APM)
Hi the latest iApp for Lync (still) doesn't implement pre-auth with APM. We want to avoid mobile users to connect directly to Lync from outside and need to do some pre-auth (radius) to avoid locking AD accounts. Anyone successfully implemented that? Any limitations? Thanks Alexandre

Hi Alexandre, as far as I can tell, only Lync web apps have been verified with APM. The Lync client and mobile clients have not.
It would be helpful if you would open a case with F5 support about this issue and respond here with the case number. I will then attach it to an RFE. The more requests we have, the faster we'll be able to make the engineering work happen.
thanks

Hi Mike I suppose the mobile client is working with HTTP the same way as the web apps do no? Why you don't provide the RFE bugid here? I'll open a case with a straight request to link my case to it. And others on devcentral could do the same. Regards Alexandre

Hi Mike support case number is 1-461135117 I'm looking for the customer to PoC this. - do you have any RC Lync 2013 iApp with APM support that I could use as basis? - we cannot wait for this RFE to be implemented. Will try with customization. Have F5 internals not experienced that? I'm surprised because this implementation is nothing exotic. Could you inform me about the RFE id + title? Thanks. Alexandre
