I've read through the F5/Exchange deployment document.

Which seems to indicate that this solution will not work if you also use ActiveSync. The document says to enable SSL offloading and then provides a link to a Microsoft document ( http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb885060.aspx ) that says ActiveSync does not support SSL offloading. However, it seems on the forums that people have it working. So can anyone that is using this setup and using ActiveSync with it clarify this for me??? Despite what the deployment guide says, do I not need to implement SSL offloading?

If you don't need to offload SSL (wasn't a requirement for us either), try setting up a performance layer 4 vip (forwarding all ports). It has been solid for us (exchange 2003) for about a year. Trying to follow the setup guide, we actually got active sync working for some devices, but always had a few that just wouldn't cooperate. I just don't remember the specifics on how we got it "kind of" working......
Keep in mind this may not be the ideal setup and I am in no way an expert.
