Hi SynACk, issue is not yet resolved. Would you mind instruct me how to check on arp setting of VS? I'm not familiar on where to check. - Balancing_HarmoFeb 18, 2016

Hey SynACk, found out that ARP is enabled in the virtual address created by the VS. What's the reason why should it be disabled? - SynACk_128568Feb 18, 2016

Hi Mark, is that VS a wildcard VS something like destination 0.0.0.0:0 which accepts traffic for anything and allows F5 to behave as router ? - Balancing_HarmoFeb 19, 2016

The particular VS has a specific destination address, which is the ip of a ftp server. The vs is basically for monitoring and yes it behaves like a router. - SynACk_128568Feb 19, 2016

then no that will be not the issue. I f arp is enabled on the wildcard VS then it arp out / respond for all the servers on the vlan. - Balancing_HarmoFeb 21, 2016

I thought ARP should be disabled? - SynACk_128568Feb 22, 2016

HI mark, If it is specific destination then not a problem because F5 will advertise the arp in case of failover or you can use MAC masquerading . Just in case F5 wildcard VS is enabled on a VLAN on which your back end servers are there , then F5 arps out for those server and cause conflict.
