May 19, 2010Login in MS Terminal Server ActiveX with client certificates
Hi,
we're wondering if is it possible the following scenario:
Users are connecting to the Firepass (6.0.3) with a client certificate in a smartcard (using smartcard readers, of course). The get authenticated and then launch Microsoft Terminal Server ActiveX client to connect to their remote desktops. We want to avoid user/password client authentication in that RDP session by using the same smartcard credentials. So the client certificate should be mapped by the ActiveX component or something like...
Is it possible? How? If not, don't you consider this is a good feature request?
Thanks a lot for your help

When you say they get authenticated, are you referring to a AD type setup? If so you can select auto-logon under the master group settings for Terminal Services. Remember, it will use the Firepass credentials for verification.
