localhost emerg logger: Re-starting apmd

Having this error after booting, and when I logged into the web interface from the setup utility page the APM, LTM modules that were licensed were not showing. The f5 icon reads unknown. Pls any suggestion on a fix?

Was this after a recent upgrade? What version are you running?

One thing you can do is grab a qkview, upload it to iHealth.f5.com and it should tell you about the crash, and hopefully provide a suggestion about fixing it.

    (tmos) stop sys service apd
    (tmos) stop sys service apmd
    (tmos) qkview

Core files found are being included.
Diagnostic information has been saved in:
    /var/tmp/host.example.com.qkview

Grab that file and upload it to iHealth.f5.com

  • Hey David, Thanks for offering to help, this happened when I attempt to shutdown the virtual machine I am guessing I didn't do that properly and somehow crashed some files. I could not carry out the steps you provided bcos I already re-installed it by the time I got you message. But I will take note of the steps provided in case I run into similar issue. Thanks.
