Local User Passwords from Policy
Hi everybody. A question about local users on APM. We would like to give our users the possibility to change the password of their local user from the logon portal. I have seen that it can be done with users from Active Directory (variable change_password, etc.) but our users are on the local database of the APM. Could it be done? Thank you!

Hi,
As far a I know, you can write to the local user database for the following actions:
- Increment or reset number of login failures.
- Change lockout status
- Force password change at next login
- Personal information
Password change by the user is not one of them.

if you can do 3 then you pretty much have it worked out. sure it is only on the next login, but it is a way.

Hi,
This option cannot be found in a policy, but is set in the user properties.
Select the correct partition (if used) and go to Access Policy -> Local User DB -> Manage Users. Click on the user and select ' Edit' at the bottom of the screen.
