Load Balancing with iRules in LTM

We are trying to create an iRule that will provide ratio load balancing between two VIP.

 

 

1. Can iRule perform the following?

 

· Browser Client will use www.mysite.net.

 

· LTM will load balance equally between a redirect to ww1.mysite.net and ww2.mysite.net, thus creating 2 pools of servers

 

· ww1.mysite.net and ww2.mysite.net will use the current configuration of what mysite is using.

 

 

 

2. How does LTM ensure that the request is passed on to the same server on a particular pool? Is it only thorugh browser cookies or do we have any other options available.
