Load balancing prefered method
Hi,
We are planning to deploy load balancer in Data Center. We have three different applications which are placed in to three different Vlans for example vlan 10, vlan 20 and vlan 30. All vlans gateways are configured on core swicthes What is recommaded way of deploying load balancer and what are the pros and cons of each methods ?
1) Configure VIPs in vlan 40 and SNAT ip addresses will be in the same vlan , that is vlan 40. Single route domains need to be configured on F5, which will have defualt route configured towards vlan 40 ip of core. 2) Configure VIPs in vlan 40 and and SNAT ip addresses will be configured in respective vlan. That is different SNAT will be configured in vlan 10 ,vlan 20 and vlan 30. Single route domains need to be configured on F5, which will have defualt route configured towards vlan 40 ip of core. And Vlan 10, 20 , 30 will communicate with respective servers on layer 2. No route domain is require for Vlan 10,20,30 3) Configure VIP and SNAT ips in respective vlans. Like for vlan 10 load balancing VIP ans SNAT will be configured in vlan 10. Similaraly for other vlan. In this case need to configure three different route domains, which will have three deafualt routes configured to thier respective gateways on core.

i think (1) and (2) are not so different in term of configuration. if you think it is better to separate vlan for clientside and serverside traffic, (2) is the way you go.
about (3), is traffic coming through vlan 10, 20, 30 (not vlan 40)?
