Load-balancing a VIP for SSL port 443 to a pool of SSL servers on port 65534

Hi All,

 

Can you please assist how to configure VIP for SSL where pool members are running on custom port 65534, We are not using SSL off load on F5, VIP is SSL pass through. I am looking for setup like below.

 

(1) redirect all http to https (2) route any request coming to the public IP to port 443 should be routed to the individual nodes’ IPs’ at port 65534

    Hi Manish, if you are running V11.X you can easily use an Iapp for that

     

    1. from the gui select menu Iapps/application services/+
    2. from drop down menu select F5.http
    3. in template options section choose advanced configuration option (second menu)
    4. from SSL encryption menu select Encrypted traffic is forwarded without decryption (SSL passthrough)
    5. from virtual server and pools section :
    • enter vip IP address
    • edit FQDN
    • and last menu Which web servers should be included in this pool? enter servers IPs with your specific pool.

    6 . click finish
