Load balancer to verify if the site is up

You are correct in that the custom HTTP monitor is most likely what you are looking for. Unfortunately we are not suited here to help support product related issues. We are glad to help with development questions with regards to iControl or iRules, but specific product issues will have to go through F5 Product Technical Support at this point.

We ran into this problem also. For some reason the monitor (HTTP) did not take kindly to spaces in the "receive string". We resolved this for the interim by looking for a string without spaces.

 

 

For the "Send String" we are using the following:

 

 

GET /folder/subfolder/page.html

 

 

I am interested to see what Tech Support comes up with.
