Load-balance DCOM traffic behind F5 LTM

We have new business requirement to load-balance DCOM traffic between Webserver to Application servers. Is it supported by F5 LTMs during either of below solution:

 

  1. Performance Layer4 VIP with application servers as pool members
  2. SourceIP or Cookie persistence VIP
deployment
design

    sol838 talks about BIG-IP Link Controller. We use F5 LTM VIPRION devices for server load-balancing.

    It's actually talking about a REALLY old version of BIG-IP (v4). Sadly I remember those days. In any case I'd imagine the implementation would be similar given the issued presented by DCOM.
